Professional Cosmetic Surgery and Healthy Ageing Clinic
The ultimate aim of the age management is, to achieve the maximum quality of life (functional fitness) and preventing any age related illness, in the early stages. The gradual wasting away of the mind and body, especially the muscle and skin over the course of decades is not a necessary or normal component of aging. It is rather the natural outcome of a lifetime of unenlightened choices. The answer to delaying this process and aging gracefully while retaining maximum mental faculty and functional fitness can be found at the Age management consultation.
The initial consultation lasts an hour to hour and a half. Please ensure you allow your selves enough time, to fill in a questionnaire, prior to your appointment. At the consultation, the consultant will go through, your filled in detailed questionnaire with you, asking for further information where required. You are then given an opportunity to explain any specific areas of concern. Following this your height, weight, BMI, BP and clinical parameters are recorded. You will then be asked to go through the H-Scan system to determine your mental and sensory faculty levels to assess your biological age. Blood and salivary sample are taken, to estimate the levels of the biomarkers of aging (assess your biological age) and detect any possible health risks. In some cases scans such as ultrasound, MRI or CT scan may be recommended. The genomic screening will be recommended in certain cases. The results of the blood, salivary tests and scans may take up to 5 days.
2nd Consultation – Treatment Plan
You are requested to make another appointment at the end this time, to receive your individualised treatment plan. The treatment program involves stress management, introspection(willingness to change to a better lifestyle), nutrition counselling, core training exercise, neutraceuticals, hormone modulation and other rejuvenating programs as necessary. If there is any weakness in any of the organ functions, the concerned specialists’ opinion will be sought.
At the time of receiving your treatment plan, it will be discussed in detail with you. You will then be advised on ways of overcoming your areas of difficulty, or if possible the treatment plan is further modified to suit your needs.
The success of the programme depends on the stringent adherence to it. It must be borne in mind that this is a lifetime management programme and requires a commitment and single minded dedication, towards improving your life.
Prevention is most successful when planned in advance. Unlike the conventional approach of seeking medical advice, after problem develops, preventive medicine encourages proactive intervention. To ensure your life long success, ongoing guidance, monitoring and clinical support with renewable, semi annual clinical management checkups are recommended.
Normally follow up will be in 3-6 month to assess the effect of the treatment and make any changes if necessary. It is highly recommended to have 6 monthly visits for follow up to maintain and improve the functional state. It is mandatory once a year.
Established clients following their age management programme should return for an annual re-assessment, for a gratifying result and motivated lifestyle. This will give an opportunity to measure their progress, reassess personal goals, review and fine tune the program and receive additional new advancement in prevention and treatment.
