Evaluation of Comparative Efficacy of Two Types of Botulinum Toxin Type A

  • Two brands of Botulinum Toxin Type A ('Botox') were evaluated for a comparison on product efficacy.
  • Some trial patients were given a dose of brand A, and when this had worn off, were then given brand B.  Others were treated in reverse - brand B followed by A
  •  The depth of wrinkle was recorded with a 3D stills camera and 2D video camera prior to treatment and at 2 weeks post-treatment, then at regular intervals thereafter until the effect of the first dose had worn off.
  • The second dose was then administered and the depth of wrinkle recorded under the same schedule.  The 3D photograph and subsequent graph enabled a determination of comparative efficacy of the two brands of Botox.

Evaluation of Comparative Longevity of Two Types of Botulinum Toxin Type A

  • Two brands of Botulinum Toxin Type A ('Botox') were evaluated for a comparison on longevity of results.
The 3D photograph and subsequent graph enabled a determination of comparative longevity of results of the two brands of Botox.

Facial Re-shaping with Fillers

With more and more people desiring to do something to improve their looks but having less and less time to do it, the concept of facial re-shaping with Botox and fillers is an ideal solution for those who don't mind a temporary result and are happy to repeat treatment when the effects have worn off - thus avoiding invasive surgery. Fillers can be applied to give a minimalistic, dynamic 3D non-invasive "facelift look," to marginally improve on certain imperfections and even offer the illusion of a slight alteration in the shape of your face.  Botox can be used to change your smile e.g. making a smile less "gummy" etc.

On his own initiative, Mr Prakash has made a study of facial re-shaping and has found great success in many cases.  Compared to surgery, this kind of procedure is less expensive with a quicker recovery time, but results are temporary and repeat procedures are necessary.
